  • Overview of Le Quesnoy

    Le Quesnoy takes its name from the nearby Mormal Forest where the oaks were planted in Roman times. In the 12th century, Buadin IV, known as the Edifier, built a castle here that became the favourite residence of the most powerful pinces in Europe. From the 16th to the 19th century, the town was reinforced to be evnetually delisted in the same way as so many other towns in the last century.
